Terms of service

The terms that govern a FinKind account.

These terms describe what FinKind provides, what it costs, how a subscription starts and ends, and what happens to your plan when it does. They describe the product as it is built and promise nothing beyond it.

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-09-17

1 · Who provides FinKind

FinKind is operated by CTSoftwares, LLC.

These terms are an agreement between you and CTSoftwares, LLC, which operates FinKind at finkind.io. They apply whenever you use the FinKind website, the member app, or the fictional demo.

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account; the fictional demo needs no account and stores nothing on our servers.

  • Website, member app, and fictional demo are covered
  • Acceptance happens when you create an account, never inside an unrelated action
  • The version and effective date above identify which text you agreed to

2 · What FinKind is

A planning tool that estimates, not a financial institution.

FinKind projects the money you tell it about and answers what is safe to spend today. Every figure depends on the balances, dates, amounts, recurrence choices, and protected reserves you enter. Missing or incorrect entries produce an incorrect answer.

FinKind does not give financial advice, does not hold, move, or protect your money, and is not a bank, lender, payment processor, or fiduciary. No projection is a promise that money will be available on a future date.

  • Estimates from your own entries, explainable on screen
  • Not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice
  • No money is held, transferred, or protected by FinKind

3 · Your account

One verified account, kept under your control.

Real use requires a first-party FinKind account with a verified email address. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for keeping your password and recovery links private, and for the activity of anyone you let use your account.

You can see every signed-in device in Account settings and revoke any of them, including the one you are using.

  • Email verification before real planning data is entered
  • Session revocation and password recovery from Account settings
  • You may not resell, scrape, or automate access in a way that degrades the service for others

4 · Free

The Free plan stays useful, indefinitely.

FinKind Free is not a trial and does not expire. It carries one complete manually maintained plan, every manual account and card that plan needs, scheduled money moves, a rolling 90-day forecast, the safe-to-spend answer, reconciliation, one working scenario, secure synchronisation, export, and account deletion.

FinKind does not put the essential safety answer behind payment.

  • No payment method is required to use FinKind Free
  • No advertising, no sale of your data, and no shaming
  • Free keeps the core answer whatever happens to a subscription

5 · The trial

A 45-day Plus trial that ends by itself.

An eligible member who starts the trial directly on the web gets full Plus access for 45 days. No payment method is required, no payment method is stored, and nothing is charged when it ends. One trial is available per member.

When the 45-day trial ends without a subscription you return to Free. Nothing you saved is deleted.

  • Started by you from Account settings, never automatically
  • Reminders before it ends, sent once each
  • Ends by itself with no charge and no payment method on file

6 · Plus today

What a Plus subscription includes now.

FinKind Plus adds planning reach on top of everything Free provides. Today that means a one-year forecast view beside the rolling 90 days, saved scenarios compared side by side with your plan, and several named workspaces, each holding its own complete plan.

  • A one-year forecast horizon alongside the Free 90-day view
  • Saved scenario comparison against the saved plan
  • Several member-named workspaces, each with its own plan

7 · Prices and payment

USD $6.99 a month or USD $59.99 a year, shown before you pay.

Plus costs USD $6.99 monthly or USD $59.99 annually. The price, any taxes, and the renewal terms are shown before you pay, on the checkout page. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe and are never held by FinKind; FinKind stores only the identifier that links your account to your Stripe customer record, and the subscription state Stripe reports.

  • Prices in United States dollars; taxes disclosed at checkout before payment
  • Automatic renewal until you cancel, with cancellation available at any time
  • Card details handled by Stripe, never stored by FinKind

8 · Cancelling and returning to Free

Nothing you saved is deleted when Plus ends.

You can cancel at any time from Account settings. Cancelling keeps Plus until the end of the period you already paid for, and no further payment is taken.

If a renewal payment fails, Plus continues for 7 days while the payment is retried. If it is not recovered, the entitlement expires and you return to Free.

On return to Free your saved scenarios and any extra workspaces stay readable and exportable but are no longer editable, and the forecast returns to the rolling 90 days. Nothing you entered is deleted, hidden, or held hostage.

  • Cancel any time; Plus runs to the end of the paid period
  • 7 days of continued Plus after a failed renewal payment
  • Saved work stays readable and exportable on Free

9 · Not yet included

Some named capabilities are not part of Plus yet.

FinKind publishes what it intends to add to Plus so that a subscription is never sold on a promise. The items below are not available today and are not part of what you are paying for.

  • Bank connections with review-before-import are not available; FinKind is manual-first and needs no bank connection
  • Advanced monitoring beyond the essential alerts is not available
  • Enhanced support is not available; every member gets the same support described below
  • Apple and Google subscriptions are not available; Plus is sold on the web only

10 · Refunds

A refund ends the paid period it covered.

If FinKind refunds a payment in full, the paid period that payment covered ends when the refund is recorded, and the account returns to Free with its data intact.

FinKind does not otherwise offer pro-rated refunds for an unused part of a period. Nothing here limits a refund right the law where you live gives you. Ask at support@finkind.io.

  • A full refund ends the period it paid for
  • No pro-rated refund for an unused part of a period
  • Statutory refund rights are unaffected

11 · Ending your account

Export first, then delete whenever you choose.

You can download a portable JSON copy of your profile, workspaces, accounts, scheduled money, goals, and protected reserves at any time, and you can delete your account from Account settings.

Deleting permanently closes the account, removes access to your plans, and signs out every device. It cannot be undone from inside FinKind, so export first if you want to keep a copy.

FinKind may suspend or close an account that is used to attack the service or to harm other people, and will say why when it does.

  • Portable JSON export, with no password or session credential included
  • Deletion closes the account and signs out every device
  • FinKind says why whenever it suspends or closes an account

12 · Changes and contact

Every version of these terms is dated and reviewable.

These terms carry the version and effective date shown at the top of this page. When they change in a way that affects what you receive or pay, FinKind publishes the new version with a new effective date and tells members before it applies.

Questions about these terms, about billing, or about a security issue go to support@finkind.io.

  • Versioned text with an effective date, never edited silently
  • Material changes announced before they apply
  • One contact for support, billing, and security: support@finkind.io
